Rev. ΙΟΝΙΚΟΝ ΚΡΑΤΟΣ ᛫1821 The winged lion of Saint Mark walking to left, holding Book of Gospels surmounted by 7 arrows representing the 7 Ionian islands. Karamitsos I.14a. KM 30. Head of Mithradates II to left, wearing upright kyrbasia tied with diadem. Rev. BACI - MIΘ (retrograde) Club; to right, countermark of MIΘ within incuse rectangle; all within wreath. Kovacs 35. Attractive dark olive patina with earthen highlights. Very fine.
