KINGS OF SOPHENE. Mithradates II Philopator, ca. 89 - after 85 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 19 mm, 6.32 g, 12 h), Arkathiokerta(?). Head of Mithradates II to left, wearing upright kyrbasia tied with diadem. Rev. BACI - MIΘ (retrograde) Club; to right, countermark of MIΘ within incuse rectangle; all within wreath. Kovacs 35. Attractive dark olive patina with earthen highlights. Very fine.
