CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. Circa 2nd century BC. Quarter Stater (Electrum, 14.5 mm, 1.78 g, 3 h). Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. Deconstructed charioteer driving biga to right; below, triskeles. Allen, SNR 53, pl. 15, 180. Castelin 1085. Delestrée & Tache 3072B. HMZ 1.15. A very rare type, struck on a broad flan. Apparently pierced and crudely repaired in ancient times, otherwise, about very fine.
