Constantius II, 337-361. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.39 g, 12 h), Arelate, 355-360. FL IVL CONSTAN-TIVS PERP AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantiius II facing, his head turned slightly to the right, holding spear in his right hand and with a shield with horseman motif over his left shoulder. Rev. GLORIA REI-PVBLICAE Roma, helmeted, seated facing on left, and Constantinopolis, turreted, seated to left on the right, holding between them a shield inscribed VOT/XXX/MVLT/XXXX; in exergue, KONS(TAN). Depeyrot 5/1. RIC 233. Scrape on chin and minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
