KORKYRA. Korkyra. Circa 510-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 20.5 mm, 11.40 g). Cow standing to left, her head turned back to right to lick calf sucking to right. Rev. Two incuse rectangles containing stellate patterns of six rays, one with a central diamond and the the other with a central square. BMC 10. Fried Group I. Jameson III 2045 (this coin). Rosen 169. SNG Lockett 1662. Lightly toned, bold and attractive. Slightly porous, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
