TROAS. Dardanos. 4th century BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 2.49 g, 1 h), struck under the magistrate Timonax. Horseman, wearing a petasus, cloak and hunting costume, riding a horse galloping to right, raising his right hand in salute. Rev. ΔΑ[Ρ] / [ΕΠ]Ι ΤΙΜΩΝΑΤ[ΟΣ] Rooster standing to right; in the outer field to right, Athena Promachos to right. Unpublished but for another example, from the same obverse die, see Leu Winterthur e11, 2020, 838. Boldly struck and with a dark patina. Some edge breaks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
