IONIA. Klazomenai. Circa 370-360 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 4.05 g, 11 h), struck under the magistrate Klearistos. Laureate head of Apollo facing, turned slightly to the left, wearing chlamys visible along his neckline. Rev. ΚΛΕΑΡΙΣ-[ΤΟΣ] Swan standing left with open wings, his head bent down to feed. BMFA 1872 (same dies). Rare. Well-centered, sharply struck and of a florid late Classical style. Some surface roughness on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.

From a European collection, ex Nomos 25, 20 November 2022, 208, previously in a German collection acquired prior to 2005.
