Radiate head of Helios facing, turned slightly to the right. Rev. TAPAN /AΠΟΛ Thunderbolt. Fischer-Bossert G3 = HN III 906 = Vlasto 14. Jameson 145. SNG ANS 977. SNG Copenhagen 833. Extremely rare. Clear and attractive. Struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, extremely fine.

This issue is by far scarcer than the contemporary 1/12 stater bearing Alexander the Molossian's name. In fact, in over a generation the only other example to appear on sale has been the Vlasto piece.
