Hurter 103 a (this coin). SNG ANS 633 (same dies). SNG Lloyd 1168 (same dies). An attractive piece with a light toning. Obverse slightly double struck, otherwise, extremely fine.

Ex Triton XIII, 5 January 2010, 51, Coin Galleries, 2 August 2006, 147 and Spink 5014, 28 September 2005, 33.

This coin was properly cleaned after its acquisition in 2006. The reverse head of the nymph is reminiscent of earlier Syracusan Arethusa heads, from which this was copied.
