IONIA. Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Archepolis, son of Themistokles, Circa 459 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.34 g, 2 h). Head of Leukippos to right, wearing crested Attic helmet; in right field, AP monogram. Rev. Owl standing to left, with head facing front; in lower right field, AP monogram; in upper right field, XE monogram; within beaded square and all within a shallow incuse square. Nollé & Wenninger A 3a. Horn silver, otherwise, good fine.

Archepolis was the son of Themistokles, who inherited his dominion over Magnesia, continuing to strike coins for the Lykomidai family.
